04/25/2005: "Internet Sneak Soundtrack"
Since I get to use any music I want for this preview screening, without any consideration to money, I've picked a shitload of music to throw in. I'm going to list the entire soundtrack here, so you can refer back if there are things you like and don't recognize (like some of the local Athens stuff). I'll note where appropriate.
wowgirl internet peview soundtrack (in order of appearance):
"Epiphany" - Staind
"Faith" - Guff (local kick ass Athens punk)
"I'll Sleep When I'm Dead" - Bon Jovi
"Erase" - Dezeray's Hammer (awesome South Carolina Power Pop)
"Hiphopper" - Thomas Rusiak (don't know him, but the song is on the Jay & Silent Bob soundtrack)
"Fear" - Sarah McLaughlan (this one's for the Roswell fans...)
"Turn Down The Lights" - Benway (some techno Mrs. Elf found on the web, beat out Ace of Base for the spot)
"Truly, Truly" - Grant Lee Buffalo
"Only One" - Lifehouse
"Awake" - Letters to Cleo
"Gimme All That" - XXX Hard Drive (Athens Metal)
"Out of Line" - Heidi Hensley (incredible Athens songstress)
"Maybe" - Dayroom (defunct Athens rock - the best)
"Almost Over Now" - Soundtrack Mind (good guys, the band is in wowgirl, kinda broken up now)
"Where Have You Been?" - Soundtrack Mind
"Free" - Heidi Hensley
"She Blinded Me With Science" - Thomas Dolby
"Cocoon" - joydrop
"Autumn's End" - Bryan Redding (video for it here)
"Heart and Hand" - Vertical Horizon
"At My Most Beautiful" - REM
There's also probably one more Soundtrack Mind song, but other than that it's set. I'll finish the two-three music tracks tomorrow, plus do a full level check on the sound and add subtitles. After that, it should be ready.
I should also note that neither of the songs used in the trailer are in this cut of the film. I think that the Heidi song will run during the closing credits if she lets me (and unless she signs a killer recording contract in the meantime - which is very possible) and I'm not sure if that particular SM song will actually be in the flick - it was perfect for the trailer though.
