Oh, do I ever want to kibbutz.
Yeah...mixed feelings. The first half hour and last 15 minutes were pretty good, but there was A LOT of filler. I knew we wouldn't find out what was up with the hatch, but I gotta admit I totally didn't see it coming with the boat and the grizzly guy (the Others' Hobo King?) and the kidnapping of Walt. That was a good twist, IMO.
Ok, what do y'all think of this. If the island is some sort of machine from the sea, it explains why the ship is in the middle of the island and why it doesn't show up on maps--it's not a real island. And that ship was probablt a convict ship, not a slave ship, right? I don't think dynamite was invented when they were doing slave trading.

Nice. Way to go, Ward! Look forward to it.
On Lost - I was pleasantly unsurprised. I like the direction they are taking with Charlie, erm, Jack's character. Locke is starting to get on my nerves.
If they can keep the two of them rolling back and forth like that, I'll stay hooked.
I do have to say that this all seems very Desperation/Regulators to me in a weird way. Any other King fans wanna agree or disagree on that one?

I feel screwed. Like I invested an entire season, expected some answers/resolution (not to everything, but at least something) and got nada. But, I will watch next year. So maybe they are geniuses.

Yeah, I was definitely expecting a little bit more bang (and I'm not talking about blowing the hatch). I think the plane flashback scene at the end could have taken a little less time and given us about ~5 more minutes of show. The Ape Man commented on Sarachkah's site that we should see some "Lord of the Flies" action soon, but not between Jack and Locke. It looks like the conflict will be between them - "If we survive this, we're going to have a Locke problem." Sometimes a season finale can leave too many loose ends.
Anyone notice the massive amount of garbage coming on during the summer season? "Dancing with the Stars", "Hit Me Baby 1 More Time", and "Rock Star: INXS"?!? Give me a break!
BTW, check out the article on one of our fellow Godwin grads. What is it with 1994 and filmmakers? :)
